Cross G Ranch runs private, reservation-only trail rides on a secluded working ranch outside Bandera in the Texas Hill Country, about 50 miles from San Antonio. Rather than nose-to-tail plodding, each guest is matched to a horse and the trails open up creeks, ravines, wooded stretches, and high plateaus, with experienced riders free to trot, lope, and canter in designated areas.
