Don Donnelly's D-Spur Ranch has offered the western experience to the public since 1982, on 5,800 acres of Sonoran desert in the foothills of the Superstition Mountains at Gold Canyon, Arizona. Guided trail rides cross a working longhorn cattle ranch where riders may spot coyotes, javelina, and mule deer, and the ranch also runs cookouts and cattle drives. Horse boarding with direct trail access and dry campsites complete the operation, which closes in the summer heat and reopens in November.
